Sanitation Office:

The Sanitation Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The office is closed daily for lunch from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

New and existing customers may contact the Sanitation Office to set-up a new account, close an existing account, pay a bill, request class-4 pickup, request dumpster rental, or to request general information.

Transfer Station:

Little River County Transfer Station hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Trash pickup hours:

From June through August, our sanitation crews will pick up trash between 6am and 2:30pm.  

From September through May, our sanitation crews will pick up trash between 7am and 3:30pm.  

Services Included:

Class 1 trash is picked up once a week.  The day of pickup is based on location.  Class 1 trash is any household item that can fit into a garbage bag.

Class 4 pickup is available on Fridays, excluding holidays.  Class 4 consists of most large items that are too large to fit into garbage bags. For example: furniture, appliances, large electronics, etc.

Class 4 Information:
Call Cindy at (870) 898-7276 to setup a large item pickup for upcoming Friday.

Items that CANNOT be picked up or disposed of at Transfer Station (with one exception):

Tires, paint, batteries, burned material, hazardous material, dead animals, bulk tree limbs and yard debris, bulk demolition waste, concrete, dirt, bricks, barbed wire, or shingles.

Exception:
Tires cannot be picked up but can be taken to the Transfer Station.  Tires cannot be on rims.  Four tires or less per month will be accepted at no charge, fifth tire or more will be a $3.00 fee per tire.

Dumpster Rentals:
4-yard dumpsters are available for businesses or for clean ups for BAGGED household items only.
40-yard dumpsters are available to rent for large items that cannot be bagged.
4-yard dumpsters are $75 +tax and 40-yard dumpsters are $350 +tax.

The Little River County Transfer Station is open to Little River County residents only.  The Little River County Transfer Station is not open to disposal of materials by contractors.

Residents are responsible for unloading their own material when delivering items to the Transfer Station.  Little River County is not responsible for any personal injury or damage to personal property.
