A Night at the Museum - 3rd Annual Two Rivers Museum Fundraiser

      The Little River County Historical Society invites the 
      community to attend the Third Annual Two Rivers Museum 
      Fundraiser, "A Night at the Museum," on Saturday, 
      September 26, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Two Rivers 
      Museum, located at 5 East Main Street in Ashdown.

      The event is designed as a come-and-go evening celebrating 
      the history and heritage of Little River County while raising 
      funds to support the museum and its mission of preserving 
      local history for future generations.

      Guests will enjoy a selection of delicious hors d'oeuvres 
      prepared by Special Moments Catering and will have the 
      opportunity to participate in a silent auction featuring 
      a variety of items donated by local businesses and supporters. 
      Museum exhibits will be open throughout the evening, allowing 
      visitors to explore the stories and artifacts that tell the 
      history of Little River County.

      A special part of the evening will be the recognition of 
      individuals and organizations whose contributions, support, 
      and dedication have helped the museum grow and thrive over 
      the years. Their commitment has played an important role in 
      preserving the area's rich heritage.

      In addition, a special community member will share stories 
      and reflections on the history of Ashdown, providing guests 
      with a unique look at the people and events that have shaped 
      the community.

      Sponsorship opportunities are currently available for 
      businesses and individuals wishing to support the event. 
      Sponsorship levels include Platinum ($2,000), Gold ($1,500), 
      Silver ($1,000), and Bronze ($250), with varying benefits that 
      include event tickets, recognition at the event, publicity 
      acknowledgements, and company logos displayed on the 
      sponsorship board.

      Individual tickets for A Night at the Museum are $30 each. 

      This event is not only a fundraiser, but also an opportunity to 
      celebrate the people and history that make Little River County 
      special," organizers said. "We hope residents and friends of the 
      museum will join us for an evening of fellowship, memories, and 
      appreciation for our shared heritage.

      Proceeds from the event will benefit the continued operation of 
      the Two Rivers Museum and support future exhibits, educational 
      programs, and preservation efforts.

       Here is a tentative schedule for the 2026 Foreman Gator Bash, 
       which will be held on Saturday, October 3.

       Our theme is “Celebrating the USA’s 250th birthday. We encourage 
       everyone to dress in red, white, and/or blue.

       1:00       Fair Barn Opens.
                  Silent Auction items will be put on display. Bids can 
                    be made until 7:15.
                  Put names on the Memorial Wall. This can be done at 
                    any time.
                  Visit memorabilia exhibits. Do this at your leisure.

       5:30       Program begins
                    Recognition of Veterans
                    Recognition of alumni who graduated in ‘46, ‘56, ‘66,
                    ‘76,  ‘86, ‘96, ‘06, ‘16, and ‘26

       5:55       Pledge of Allegiance, Alma Mater, Blessing of the meal

       6:00       Meal. Catered by Mike McCombs.

       6:45       A group picture will be taken of everyone in attendance.

       7:15       Silent Auction closed.
                    Winners of raffled items announced.

       7:30       Silent Auction winners announced. This will take a while.
  
       Class photos will be taken through the late afternoon and evening. 

       Your donations to the scholarship fund are greatly appreciated.  
       We are also taking donations to help fund the annual Gator Bash.

       We hope all who ever walked the halls of Foreman Schools will come 
       celebrate with us. This is not just for graduates. It’s for anyone 
       who was part of our school life. There will be lots of fun, lots 
       of tall tales shared, and lots of new memories made.
