Free Tree Friday
Where: Horatio State Bank, 110 West Main, Ashdown
Each spring, the Arkansas Department of Agriculture celebrates
Arbor Day with its Free Tree Fridays campaign, distributing
bare root seedlings to Arkansans at locations across the state.
The campaign encourages tree planting across Arkansas by offering
free native seedlings to individuals and families.
Up to five seedlings are available per person. The 2026 species
are pecan, sycamore, overcup oak, and Shumard oak.

What to expect:
Junk journaling is the new Scrapbooking! At this event you have
the option of creating something unique and personalized. Either
glam up a cover of a notebook, or embellish an entire small journal
with pockets, pictures, stickers, buttons, trims, etc.
Ms. Gena Lott will be bringing some inspiration and examples to
show. The creativity is within you, and she wants to provide an
opportunity for you to express it!
Please bring with you:
A small journal of your choice.
Embellishments, stickers, pictures, etc. (You know, the craft
materials that you’ve been holding onto, for such a time as this!)
We will have some larger, composition notebooks available for those
of you who want to glam up a cover. And will have glue, scissors and
an assortment of papers, trims, stickers and other embellishments.
Refreshments provided. Please RSVP to the Foreman Public Library.

grill chicken quarters.
Age divisions are:
Junior Division: Ages 9–13
Senior Division: Ages 14–19.
4-H members 8 and under may come to be runners (help bring
contestant items).
Charcoal grills must be lit by 11:00 a.m. We have 2 grills at
the office to borrow on a first come, first serve basis. You
will need to bring supplies (at the bottom of first QR code).
